{Boston}

Today I'm bragging a little bit on one of my dearest friends. He is a Boston fan so we always had a good time deciding if his Red Sox's were going to beat my Yankees! He became a father last year and WOW has it changed him. He has always been a great guy but i never thought he would be such a great father. I know all his dirty secrets so i never really picture him as a father but he has been a great one so far to his little guy.

He works in the oil field so i don't seem much of him anymore i used to see him everyday or every other day so its safe to say i miss him. Today is his birthday so i decided to write a little about him and dedicate this week Friends post to him. 

When we were in High School we decided to cut school and go over my house because my parents were in Paris for 2 weeks. So a group of us left school and just went and hung out at home. I had a lot of trees in my back yard and him and Avery (my army hero) thought hey we can jump from on tree to the other no problem there not that far. Automatically i yelled at both of them and told them your going to break your neck and die lol they both just laugh. I was always the mom of the group even when though i was the youngest. :) Well he tried to jump and BAMMM he drops down to the ground i could of sworn he was going to be dead. As we run over to him to check on him hes just laughing he wasn't hurt but i think he felt pretty dumb after that. 

This is a picture of him and my little guy when he was born. Wasn't he so little??? Now he's almost 2! He's my little one's GodFather too. He looks like he's terrified to hold him in this picture little did he know his life would bring him his own little one shortly ater :)

That is one of my many favorite stories of him. He always thought he could do it all, so its a great to see him as a grown person out there doing it. Hope you have a very Happy Birthday DAVID !

{He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not}

So as all of you know by now I'm getting married! I have spent the last 2 hours of work not working but looking at flowers :) Shhhhh don't tell anyone. I love flowers one of my many dreams is to own my own little flower shop. Something small but have all sorts of wild flowers. I just love them they can be so romantic and i don't know anyone that will say they hate flowers. YES they die but doesn't everything die????

Anyways i found this looking through facebook and other places but this where done by Kelly Long she owns Poppy Lane Designs and she is SUPER talented. That's why i hired her over a year ago to do my wedding flowers. Our colors are different than some of these photos of flowers but i just love the idea. She really spends the time to really hear what you want and then POOF!!!! Is done!

 ( I absolutely love this, I mean look she even put little pumpkins at the bottom how creative is that)

Our colors are Deep Plum and Vibrant Red. I know they are both really strong colors but they look so pretty if you get the right shades of them together, and i know she will come up with something amazing. I love the little tree branch idea though!

I love this arrangement is so romantic! And i love the height of it i wouldn't use it for the guest tables but maybe for the food like it is used here. Look at the colors ahhh i just love it. The yummy food at the bottom of it is from Abby Road Catering! She is based out of Norman and i met her a little over a year ago and felt in love with her. She is truly an amazing women and i love everything she does i swear if we could all be like her we would be so much better off she is truly awesome. I think that's why her and Kelly get along because they are both wonderful wife's, mothers, business women, and just awesome!

It would be so cute if you were having a cute little dinner party for the girls or just around the house. Which brings me to i want to have dinner parties! Just a few of the girls over for dinner and wine (my new obsession). We get all so busy with our daily life that we don't see each other as much as we used to and that's just plain wrong if you ask me! Like for instance I'm going to lunch today with my friend Kristen and i counted last night and i haven't seen her in 6 MONTHS! YIKES that's a long time not to see someone that you live int he state with. We talked daily while we are at work and so forth but just never see one another. So I'm so excited i get to see her at lunch! YAY :)

This afternoon i will be going to check a reception place out so wish me luck! Until next time!

{Always & Forever...}

This particular friend of mine, i get to fully call my BEST FRIEND. I have known this person for a little over 11 years. He has taught me so many things thought the years that a blog is not ever long enough for me to share with you. But i will give you a little bit. He taught me how to speak English. When we first met i had only been in Oklahoma for 3 months and could understand English but could barley speak it. We have gone thru  the roughest moments in life together some of them were cause by one another and still came out on the other side stronger than ever.

He has made me laugh at times that i need it to, has allowed me to cry over the silliest things without making fun of me. Has seen me at my worst and yet calls me beautiful. Let's me be me and still loves me! Ha has taught  me how to let go of the bad and be happy. Has kept my Faith  strong in the lord when my faith was low. He has a way to make me so mad i mean REALLY mad. Almost to the point were I'm ready to whoop some booty lol and turn around and make me laugh.

He makes dry chicken even after i have taught him how to make it a little juicer but i still love it! He snores like a wild beast also i mean bad. Sleeps like a rock though. Holds the fork down while i go and have some girl time :) Which in a house full of boys you need ! The other day he watch me cry as i discover that steaks came from cows :( Don't ask, but i honestly didn't know and when he told me i absolutely had a melt down. He just watch in the driver seat and didn't laugh once but told me it was all going to be okay. He ALWAYS sees the good in people ALWAYS which sometimes bothers me because i feel like at times people take advantage of him when  I'm not around. YES when I'm not around because when mama (me) is around mama don't play! lol. That's my little SAM moment only he would know what that means.

I swear if you look at his eyes you can see his soul!

{Guess Who}

So i decided that for the next month or so i will dedicate one blog a week to one of my friends. The trick is i wont say who she or he is i will only explain simply how i see them and what makes them sparkle! Everyone's job is to try to figure out if I'm talking about you or someone you know. I will still write about my normal day to day life of course but just random blogs post will be about a friend.

Let's see how well i not only know you but you know yourself! I will start next week so i can do some investigating on all of you :) JK Is almost FRIDAY YAY! I'm so looking forward to this weekend this week has wore me out. Oh and last but not least yesterday was my birthday and i had a great day thank you all of you for the birthday wishes and all the goodies :)

{Tis The Season}

This weekend was full of girl time for me! I got to meet up with my oldest friend Brittany. We have a tradition which includes On The Boarder food and dessert :) Yumm. I wish i would of stayed strong and just this one not gave in when it came to dessert, sense hello wedding is just around the corner but i couldn't. I mean look at it doesn't it look good???

We had a great time catching up sense its been FOREVER sense i have seen her little alone talk to her. We went and got our nails did and shop a little but for Jeremiah's Christmas gifts.

Sunday i met up with Erica and Jennifer and had lunch and did some more shopping! The Mall was crazy there was so many people there it was seriously a little too much but i found some great deals! Erica is making me have a head band addiction every time i see her she has one on and it looks so freaking cute on her not sure i can pull them off just yet though. OH and Jennifer she was rocking the RED lipstick! YAY for someone having the guts to try it. I been wanting to so bad that i actually went and bought one but I'm still worried it just doesn't work for me. It worked for her though she looked super cute!

I love weekends with girlfriends new and old! There is just something about girl time that makes me HAPPY oh Joly again! Maybe is because i have a house full of boys :)

{ 6 days to go}

In 6 days i will be 24 YIKES I'm getting old. I'm SUPER big on birthdays but for some reason this year i haven't been really excited for my own birthday. Maybe is because I'm getting old or maybe I'm just tired and need a vacation super bad! Some of the girls and I are wanting to go to NY, which hello would be totally awesome. But yes there is always a BUT with our stuff coming up I'm trying very hard to stay on a budget and NY isn't really budget material. However i think I'm still going to go. I want to go to the Rockefeller Center and Serendipity for sure! Where else should we go?

Just thinking about spending the night away from my boys makes me sad. I haven't been away from Jeremiah sense he was born and the FH in years. So it's a little scary i have to say. This weekend I'm thinking to start doing some X-mas Shopping!!!! I haven't even started yet and i need to sense hello it will be here before you know it! I know it's cold in NY right now so what should i pack???? Ideas please!

{Dirt :) }

I never thought i would be so excited about dirt than i was yesterday and today. I'm so happy about the things that GOD has blessed us with and the things that are to come. Is officially DECEMBER which means my Birthday is 14 days away and Christmas is only 24 days away! Yikes :) I haven't even started our Christmas Shopping not even look at anything nothing Nada. The next few weeks are going to be very stressful not only is the holidays and holiday parties but its starting to pick up for Spring Semester. Which only means one thing long hours and no sleep. Although I'm grateful i have a J-O-B and hello the overtime is great i still miss seeing my boys during that time.

The wedding is getting closer which reminds me i have to get the invitations rolling out pretty soon sense i have put the wedding details in the back burner and now I'm freaking out about all the things that should of been done and haven't been. Thank god for my FH which is so patient and tries to help. I still need a DRESS, so if you have any ideas on where i should look let me know. ( That is if anyone actually reads this :( ) I'm going to start working on the Welcome Bags in a few weeks so for the next couple of days i will be looking for materials and such. My goal is to have them done by January. Then i can move on to the flowers etc.

So between birthday, Christmas, holiday parties, new years, BIG surprise, Wedding, FH Birthday, Jeremiah's Birthday i say is going to be a VERY busy next few months. I think i'm going to need a drink now just thinking about it makes me stress out and have an urge for some wine! Ahhhh wine guess its time to call Morgan @ Put A Cork In It :)

{Novemberishhhh }

Thanksgiving has come and go this year. It went by so fast. This year there was so much to be thankful for. My amazing little one and FH plus my family and friends! Although i love thanksgiving i have to say after 4 days of eating turkey and all the great things that we make with it i am TURKEY out :) I don't want anymore left overs at all. I can't eat the same food over and over and over again it makes me sick. Can you guys? The FH is in heaven he loves it but me and the little one are just fine cooking something new!

This year was the 1st year we did not go shopping on Black Friday instead we are saving our money for the wedding and other things that the FH told me i was not allowed to say. :( I'm not sure how long i can keep it in though I'm so excited i just want to tell everyone but he wants to wait so I'll not say anything until I'm allowed but let just say is a pretty BIG Deal and i cant wait for it to be here.

{Family Portrait}

So it's that time of year, you know the time that the family gets together and poses for that perfect family portrait that they can put in there Christmas Cards etc. Well i spoke with Holli B. Photography (hollibphotography.com)

(Shameless Plug: I met Holli last summer when i found her through a friend. She took our Engagement Pictures, Jeremiah's 1year old pictures and she will capture our wedding in Jamaica. We are flying her and Taylor (she awesome 2 way talented when it comes to Invites, Programs, Save The Dates, Photographing & Albums.) Me & the FH cannot wait to be in Jamaica and our big day to be here we know these girls will do an amazing job :) SERIOUSLY if you want someone fun that thinks outside the box but can also rock the traditional pictures google her you wont be sorry!  )

Now back to what i was talking about.... Oh yeah pictures. I always look foward to picture time with Holli or  (Taylor this year) she always finds the most random places to shoot awesome photos. Well i like to organize things so i already started bugging the FH that we must go shopping for some cute clothes to wear for them. (I really just wanted to have an excused shhhhhh). Plus i have lost some weight so i am in very much need of smaller pants and i wish i could say shirts but my twins (the girls) haven't gotten any smaller just yet. I was thinking on doing a cute pair skinny jeans (Yes i can wear them now without looking like an umpa lumpa)

Or maybe a Sparkly top with a sweater! Who knows but i like these looks so i have to find something that will work. Hopefully it wont be too cold. We are taking them 1st week of December so I'm sure it will be chilly but hopefully not to bad. If you have any ideas shoot them my way :)

Flu season is upon us. Friday i had to take the little one in to the doctor only to find out he has bronchitis.  How would he get bronchitis? I made sure he's always covered up? Ummmmm well his daddy has bronchitis little did we know we have been treating it like a cold when all along it was worst. So all weekend long i played nurse. And no not naughty nurse just good nurse. I clean while they slept which let me just say was hours and hours. Made sure they were medicated at all times, and made then yummy food to make them nice and strong.

Sunday's service was really good. I enjoyed it alot. It has been such a blessing seeing the future hubby get closer to god and want to be that man that leads his family. He knows my desires before i even tell him, thats another reason i know he's my lobster! At chruch sunday he turns to me and says when we buy the house and get settle i want us to look into adopting a baby. I seriously no joke lost it. I have always wanted to adopt a baby ever sense i was 4 years old. I used to ask my mom if i could and she would say i had to wait till i was older. I never shared that with him not because i was hiding it but simply because it never came up. It was super nice to know he wants everything i want. I just love him! Even when he's coughing non stop and full of nasty buggers he is still the love of my life and will always be.

Monday came too fast but in a way im glad i get to see the outside world and not the same walls i been looking at all weekend long! So for all of you that are reading this (which im hoping someone is) stay warm and drink lots of fluids. assssshhhhooouuuu.

{Hair Ideas}

Okay so if your anything like me and you have thin thin thin hair and you want to spice it up for the holidays here is an idea! I may try this for Thanksgiving or maybe my birthday not sure like i said my hair is thin and never has volume so I'm trying new things with it. For today is already too late is up on a pony tail as i write this so HA but  maybe tomorrow!

Whoa! It looks fairy easy on these pictures I'm sure it will take me a few times to figure it out. But maybe for you guys it will work out a lot faster! I never been a fan of RED lipstick but it seems to be in style, everyone is trying it including the girl above in the pictures so hey why not! I may just try it myself, i guess if you know me you will have to wait and see if i actually do or chicken out :)  Her tomato red lipstick is Clinique's Red Red Red. Even if you wore a black turtleneck and jeans, you'd be the most glamorous girl at any holiday party.

{Bibbity Bobbity Boo}

So it's fall and if you are anything like me you want to BAKE, BAKE, & BAKE! Is 2 weeks until Thanksgiving and i love making these cupcakes! They are super easy and OMG they are delicious so i thought i would share the recipe. The aroma from the cupcakes is  heavenly. I almost said, “I wish I could somehow bottle it up and share it on here" but then realized that I could, in fact, go out and buy a pumpkin pie-scented candle and walla!!!

So here is the breakdown! This recipe makes about 32 cup cakes but it depends on how big or small you want them to be!

***For The Cup Cakes***

4 cups cake flour (not self-rising), sifted

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 Tablespoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

¼ teaspoon ground cloves

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature

2½ cups packed light-brown sugar

4 large eggs

1 cup buttermilk

1½  canned of  pumpkin (I use the 100% Libby's Pumpkin Puree)

***For The Yummy Cream Cheese Frosting***

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature

12 ounces cream cheese, room temperature

1 pound (4 cups) confectioners’ sugar, sifted

¾ teaspoon vanilla extract

A little sprinkle of Cinnamon for a kick!

***To Make The Cup Cakes***

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line standard muffin tins with paper liners. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and spices.

2. With an electric mixer on medium-high speed, cream butter and brown sugar until pale and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until each is incorporated, scraping down sides of bowl as needed. Reduce speed to low. Add flour mixture in three batches, alternating with two additions of buttermilk, and beating until just combined. Add pumpkin; beat until just combined.

3. Divide batter evenly among lined cups, filling each three-quarters full. Bake, rotating tins halfway through, until golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes. Transfer tins to wire racks to cool 10 minutes; turn out cupcakes onto racks and let cool completely. Cupcakes can be refrigerated up to 3 days in airtight containers.

***To Make The Frosting***

With an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat butter and cream cheese until fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Reduce speed to low. Add sugar, ½ cup at a time, and then vanilla & Cinnamon, and mix until smooth and combined, scraping down sides of bowl as needed.

To finish, use an offset spatula or a pastry bag fitted with a decorated tip to top the cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Or a butter knife if you don't have all the fancy tools :)



(If not using immediately, frosting can be refrigerated up to 3 days in an airtight container; before using, bring to room temperature, and beat on low speed until smooth again.)

And finally all there is left to do is Enjoy :) Let me know how they turned out or if you made them a different way!

{ 5 months to go!!!!! }

So we have decided Beaches Negril Resort & Spa it is. We have already booked the hotel, flight and spoke with our Wedding Coordinator. We picked the reception dinner and ceremony site! I cannot wait. Especially sense is getting cold, im so ready to be sitting on the beach with a drink at hand and relaxing! I haven't found my dress yet so that is something i will be working on soon hopefully.

Me and the Future hubby have been talking and we think bringing our own flowers would be better than spending the money on the ones that they gave us as options. But i never really been a fan of fake flowers so i dont know how this will go hopefully they turn out good and i wont care :) The food sounds super yummy but i been reading lots of reviews and some have made me very nervous i wont lie. I know that people are going to complain no matter what so im hoping is not as bad as they say in some of those reviews.

If anyone has gotten married there or knows a little more info or even better yet have pictures PLEASE help a girl out!

{A Visit from Batman}

This weekend was Jeremiah's 2ND Halloween! I still can't believe that he's almost 2 i feel like i seriously just came home from the hospital with my little one and now he's so big :(. We took him trick or treating to our friends house and he did so well. He held his own pumpkin and left the candy in it then after he figured out it was candy of course he wanted some. The face was priceless when he realized it was sour candy!!! To cute for words. We dressed him up as Batman from the Dark night. He didn't want to keep his mask on but he kept the cape on so we cant complain after all he's only OMG i just realized tomorrow he will be 20 months old. WOW! Time sure flies!

I'm loving being a Mommy he's truly amazing. He's such a happy baby the only time he gets angry is when he doesn't fell good or hes hungry. He has such an amazing connection with DeAngelo(daddy). Is so fun to watch them play and talk to one another. DeAngelo is a great dad i knew he would be but seeing it its truly awesome!

Is getting colder which I'm loving! It means the holidays are near! I'm such a holiday person an after having Jeremiah its become even better. I can't wait for all the dinners, shopping, Santa visits, and all the cold winter nights that we get to cuddle up in bed and watch Christmas movies :)

{Fall is here}

It has begun people. The early cold mornings with the afternoons in 60's. I love it i love fall but i LOVE LOVE winter. This year however im not ready for the cold weather, maybe that is because now that i am a mommy i know winter means colds :(. I simple dont want my little one to get sick is so sad when he does it breaks my heart seeing him hurt in anyway.

Life has been very challenging the past few months. We been hit over and over again with problems but with God's grace we have made it through. Last week was pretty scary i never thought that i would be in the position that i was in but again with God's help we made it through. Stronger than ever and the best part of it all is that we made it together.

Can't wait to take the little one this weekend to the pumpkin patch and get ready for Halloween. Not sure what we will dress up as but we are totally dressing up! Jeremiah is growing super fast and as of late last night he can now jump! He did it a few times and fell on his little tush but i think he has gotten the hang of it. Everyday he does something that takes my breath away. We are so blessed to have him in our lifes and we totally are in love with him!

Teething nightmare

So Jp has 3 toothies coming in so the past 48 hours we have spend it getting slober on, cried on, scream to, poop on YES he has the runs and they disper decided to leak. We have made trips to walgreens, the hospital, around the neighboorhood and nothing seems to help. My poor child is in
so much pain I feel like such a bad mom not being able to take the pain away.

We have tried oral gel(which I didnt want to use sense it makes there gums harder) we have tried tynedol which to all the moms out there they have been re called for causing kidney failure, we have tried motrin. We are having troble making him eat thats not working either :( This teeth have been the worst for sure so far. Im thinking maybe grandma was right maybe rum is the best medicine lol just kidding for all you cops reading this. :)

So for all you mommies going thru the samething hang in there your not alone if you know anything else i should try let me know. Until next time...... Now you know!

{No Worries Mon}

OMG i haven't blogged in FOREVER it seems like. Well i started my new job a few weeks ago i love it. Is very different to what i was doing but still in the Education field. Everyone seems nice and guess what there is absolutely no DRAMA well not that i know of yet! Which is perfect compared to my old ball and chain job. :) I'm still not sure if Education is for me there is so many things that i want to do.

Wedding is going to be in Jamaica as some of you already know! We finally decided to do it our way. I'm super excited but i wish i didn't have to wait till April for it. Is going to be so worth it though. I know some people are pissed about it but oh well can't please everyone. So get ready for Jamaica Mon :)

As far as the family D is graduating in August I'm over the moon proud of him. He has gone thru so many challenges in his life that he deserves nothing but good stuff coming his way from now on! I'm sending him to VEGAS for the weekend as his graduation gift! I know awesome right??? And I'm also trowing him a little Graduation dinner and the cake is going to be awesome wait till you all see it.
